For more than a decade, Israel has had the Iron Dome system which is effective in dealing with incoming rocket and mortar threats, however, the system is very expensive. Therefore, a new laser system would be a major revolution in Israel’s defense capabilities.
“Rafel’s laser system is a strategic tiebreaker not only in Israel but in the entire world. It is a system that already knows how to bring down a mortar, a UAV, a rocket,” Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said.
