Maayan Keret, Director and Founder of Changing Model, discusses the moral and ethical effects of replacing human women models with AI robots in the fashion industry.
“We do not know if the fashion industry will open its doors to them (AI models),” she told i24NEWS, explaining that computer-made models question our image of how a female body should look like.
“We know it is computers, we know that it is not real, so we should assume that the knowledge helps us but we know that filters affect us badly, and we still get affected. We know that Barbie dolls are dolls but they still affect us.”
